Road Trip to The Most Charming Beach Town in FL!

May 26, 2019 Living, Travel

We took a quick family trip with friends to the cutest beach town, Grayton Beach, FL. Grayton Beach is a part of a group of chic neighborhoods that run along the Gulf of Mexico between Destin and Panama City, FL. It is known as 30A because of the highway that connects the towns. Each town is a bike ride away and has its own distinct style and personality. The beaches in this area are known for their very white sand and turquoise water. Some of the other towns which I plan to explore next time include Alys Beach, Rosemary, and Seaside.

Where to Stay in Grayton Beach Town

What I love about this area is that there are no hotels, only beach houses. We traveled with a family friend and her children and we stayed at a beautiful and spacious home! We found our beach house on Airbnb and it had everything we needed. A grill, a pool, bikes, bunk beds for the kids, you name it, they had it. With a total of 4 adults, 3 children, and an infant, we wanted it to be as home-like as possible. Also, being able to cook some meals was necessary for us.

Where to Eat

This town is full of cute places to eat! A must try is Black Bear Bread Co for breakfast/brunch. The food and dessert were delicious! The aesthetic was seriously perfection, with black and white everywhere. Another place you must try is Hurricane Oyster Bar for lunch or dinner. Their food was so good! They also have happy hour 3pm-6pm everyday which includes drink and food specials.

What To Do

Hang out at the beach! THAT. IS. ALL. I mean, the beaches of 30A are seriously some of the most beautiful I have ever seen! You could also rent a bike and get lost! There is a trail that connects all of the towns.

We had so much fun! This is definitely a family friendly beach town. I am looking forward to exploring some of the neighboring towns. Thank you to Jasmine and her family for joining us and for the pictures! xo

What is your favorite FL beach town? Have you visited any of the neighborhoods on 30A?

I always envision myself having to travel far to find white sand and clear water, good to know this is driving distance. Cute city. Looked like a good time, I’ll have to check this place out!
