My little sister is getting married, and I couldn’t be more excited for her! We initially had plans to have her bridal shower Cinco de Mayo weekend, however with the current pandemic we were forced to reschedule. Myself, along with the bridesmaids had the pleasure of throwing her a Mexican inspired fiesta shower. We kept the fiesta theme, and just opted for a smaller group to keep the celebration going. Keep reading to find out how we pulled it off!

It’s a Fiesta!
This was such a fun theme to curate. With it being Summer, I really wanted to let the vibrant colors do all the talking. The Mexican table runner was the inspiration for the fiesta. After I found the table runner, everything came together shortly after.
With the table runner being vibrant, I wanted to add other traditional Mexican pieces, but I wanted to soften up the space since it was a bridal shower. I decided to get white Papel Picado, and tall white glass candles.
I then added gold and white plating to add a touch of elegance to the tablescape. In my opinion, to keep it chic, it just requires a good balance of color/neutral, and making sure to have the colors complement each other.

Food and Drinks
Tacos and margaritas, say no more! Who doesn’t love tacos?! We had a taco bar with chicken and beef, and had several options for toppings. We kept the food station fun with a sombrero for the tortilla chips, two pinatas and decorative bowls.

Dessert Table
For the dessert table, I wanted to have at least one Mexican pastry, so we decided on churros. It was actually my first time having them, and I must say they were pretty tasty. I found the perfect cake topper from Etsy. It was a piñata with a veil– how perfect! The seller was very helpful. With so many colors going on in the party, I wanted the mini cake topper to flow, and she was able to do just that.

Shower Games
Is it really a bridal shower if you don’t have games? Nah. We played two different games. How Well Do You Know the Couple, and a game where you had to make the best wedding dress out of toilet tissue. Fun!

Party Crew
When I think about a Mexican fiesta, I think about vibrant colors. The party guest really dressed the part and added so much charm to the fiesta!

My sister had such a fun and festive bridal shower! Next comes the wedding, yay! I hope this post inspired you to throw your own fiesta.
