My baby girl Eden just turned five, celebrating with an intimate Royal Tea Party! We kept it small and celebrated with five of her friends. This was a nice change from last year, when we were doing virtual birthday wishes. I think we are slowly but surely turning the corner from all of the COVID birthdays, and Eden couldn’t be more exited! Her main request for her birthday this year was to have her friends present. How sweet. She also requested to have a royal theme, so I just gave her the tea party that she’s been asking for since she was three!

It’s the Florals for me
This party was brought to life with florals. You can’t have high tea without blooms, right? Right. I created a flower install above the desert table, and medium sized arrangements on the tablescape. I thought it would be nice to add an arrangement to the teapot, and the left over blooms in the tin water pitcher. To me, Spring means lots of blooms and we had to include tulips, ranunculus, and feverfew. Be sure to contact SheiBlooms for all of your floral needs. The desert table was cute and simple with a cake and cupcakes.

It’s Tea Time, Princess
Once seated, each princess was crowned with a tiara. It really got the royal tea party vibes going. The kids enjoyed sipping their apple juice in their tea cups. It was the cutest thing! We kept the high tea vibes going and offered grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and turkey sandwiches for their food options. For their sides we did chips and fruit. I made sure to keep it fancy and pour their tea for them as they were seated.

Tea Party Guests
The girls had lots of fun playing ‘pin the top on the tea pot’, musical chairs, and smashing the piñata. These games were easy and fun to execute. My friend literally drew up the teapot on large paper when she arrived. They had fun with essentially–pin the tail on the donkey.

Eden had a blast at her birthday tea party!
I hope this post inspires your next kid party! xo
