It’s baby shower time! So happy this day is finally here, and being all of 36 weeks pregnant at my shower, I thought this day would never come. It’s something about a shower that puts that last reality stamp on the whole pregnancy for me! Like, okay, you feel the kicks, and the pains, but now you got all this STUFF, the baby will be here, and SOON. For this second pregnancy I did the planning with my sister, Tina. She hosted at her house, and we celebrated with about 35 women that are near and dear to us. (Don’t worry, my husband had a guys Diaper Shower the following day, which was lots of fun, fully curated by him, too!)

Oh, Baby!
I wanted the shower to be an intimate brunch. To know me is to understand that I love brunch, and I will incorporate it into any early event if possible! With the party decor and styling, I was going for nice, simple, chicness: white, dusty and pastel blues, and hint of pink in the florals. I didn’t want it to scream traditional BOY shower, but instead say, Sheila’s baby boy shower– if that makes sense lol. We kept the shower games to a minimum (2). I wanted this to be a space for good conversation, mingling, and enjoyment of good food and drinks! Plus space was too limited for all of the ‘go find so and so’ games! I listed details of the shower, hopefully you can use as inspo for your next event!

Styling and Decor
Florals can really elevate a space. Keeping cost in mind, with florals I always go to Trader Joes. I knew I wanted white florals, and was hoping for roses or hydrangeas, so I was so happy to see that they had them! You never know what you’ll find when you’re not pre-ordering with a florist. I added baby’s breath, light pink roses and eucalyptus to the mix. We rented tables and white chairs from TLC Rents. The table was accented with gold and dusty blue candles, and we added baby Miller’s ultrasound pictures along the table in white frames! For the dessert table, we had a ballon garland by Amee Events set up that brought everything together and created a great focal point. I happened to find the ‘BABY’ wood sign at the Goodwill some time ago, and we just spray painted it white to go on the dessert table!

Dessert
Okay, as of late, this has been my favorite part… dessert! We used our trusted vendors for this table. The cake was a vanilla, naked drip cake with raspberry filling by Cakes by Anna. She does such a great job, this is now her third cake that she has made for us! We used Dena Sweet Delights for the cake pops and cookies and she seriously is one of the best as well! We also had cream cheese vanilla cupcakes from Publix and Krispy Creme donuts made extra pretty adorned with florals!

Food and Drinks
We had a buffet styled brunch. I came up with the menu and family helped to execute the list of dishes! It was all so good, I believe everyone got up for seconds! Yum. For the drinks, we had strawberry and mint infused water, berry lemonade and of course, a mimosa bar. Can we call it brunch if there isn’t a mimosa bar, though?! I didn’t think so!

Favors
For our party favors we had cute little soap bars made with sea salt, ground oatmeal, and peppermint leaves. A blend of sages, basil and sweet spearmint oil.

All in all, I had such a great time celebrating with family and friends! Everyone from the shower is not pictured, but I am so thankful for all of the love and support received! Baby Miller will be here any day now! Thank you for reading!

Looks phenomenal!!! I need deets on the personalized menus. Do you create them yourself or what’s a budget friendly way to achieve this look?
Thank you!! What I typically do is find an instant download on Etsy (that allows you to easily customize) and you can print from home on cardstock paper or at any print shop. Very affordable!
