How Old Would You Be If You Didn’t Know How Old You Were?

I just turned 32 yesterday! Yay, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!! And thank you all for the birthday wishes. Birthdays are beautiful, and I believe each one should be celebrated in some way, not just the milestones. That trip around the sun comes with new perspectives, growth, and wisdom. All of that calls for a celebration! Of course, birthdays are the equivalent to time passed, so that got me thinking.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?

I don’t feel a day over 30, okayyy!! But I want to keep that same energy with each decade to come. You know that 60 year that’s so fun and full of life? yea lol thats how I want to be. I realize it’s a mindset that starts now. This past weekend I took a floral design class. I’m just going with the flow, and doing things that I enjoy, but it felt good to learn something new. I want to always stay curious and try new things even if it seems far fetched! I never want to be bound by the opinions of others, or fall into the comparison game. I just want to enjoy each moment as they come and be grateful for the time passed.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were? But just think about that question for a second. And then ask yourself that question 10, 20, even 30 years from now. We are currently all so young, but we have to make a conscious effort to keep that zest for life burning. Once we hit our 30’s its like a ‘Oh my goodness! I should be here, I should be doing this, I should have this.’ But the real question is, who’s standard are we even considering? NONE of us have this life thing figured out. It’s a constant journey, and we all have unique things to learn while we are here. Let’s not allow our age to ever hold us back from doing what’s in our hearts to do, and truly just LIVE.

32 looks good on you, but you certainly could pass for 25! You are definitely a beautiful woman, but you make motherhood, being a wife and a career and goal oriented woman look effortless. Happy belated Sheila! Continue to shine!
